Beautiful, clean property on the water

This house was lovely. On my 3rd trip to Bonaire, I decided not to stay at a resort this time and opted instead for a house. I had 3 “adult” children with me and we had plenty of room to enjoy our space but be together when we wanted to as well. The concrete structure was very amenable to creating a clean environment that could also handle water from the ocean and warm rains. Its location was a nice balance of being a little out of the main busy-ness of Kralendijk while not being far from the action. I would definitely stay here again.

PS, Kees was a very helpful and responsive owner when we had a little problem that was 100% my own fault. Thank you!

We enjoyed every minute staying at this wonderful house located at the sea.High quality of living, stylish, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, clean and enough spots to relax.                        The house is perfectly located. Only minutes away from Kralendijk, Lac Baai and the many dive spots. Sitting on the deck and enjoying the view on Klein Bonaire or the sunset is the ultimate relaxation.                                                                                                                                                          We absolutely recommend Kas Daas.                                                                                                     Thank you Keesjan.

Gorgeous property with awesome views and a great location

One of the best properties we have ever rented. The house is fully equipped with lots of options to relax and enjoy its private views of the Caribbean blue water. Adrianna, the property manager, was quite helpful and pleasant. Whether relaxing on the beautiful upper open air veranda, lounging by the pool, floating in the crystal blue waters off the private dock, or taking in the stunning sunsets you will never want to leave. You can even dive/snorkel from your private dock. The reef is right there! Not to mention that you have a fully equipped dive shop one minute away to pick up your dive tanks and enjoy all the awesome diving this island has to offer. We will be back!

perfect vacation on Bonaire
5 of 5 Verified Stay
Normally I try to avoid using cliched superlatives and proclamations in reviews, but it’s not going to be easy for this vacation, because the villa was nearly perfect. The house itself is cosy, stylish, full of air and very comfortable. It has everything one needs to get away from the busy city life and immerse oneself in a slow-paced, relaxing island lifestyle. As a bonus – the villa has direct access to the wonderful, warm turquoise caribbean sea, and if you are lucky – you can watch a pod of dolphins swimming together just few meters away in the morning !

Dream vacation
5 of 5 Verified Stay
We, a family with two teenagers, stayed at Kas Daas for two weeks.

We were picked up by Adriana the villa manager at the car rental station. She then showed us the way to the house and explained us everything. We found everything as described on the internet. There were some minor differences because of the damages from Hurricane “Matthiew” that we were well informed by Keesjan before we travelled to Bonaire. We were super happy that Adriana and her team made it possible to stay in the house after big waves caused some damage to all the houses on the coast. She made sure we had WIFI, that the pool got cleaned and that a temporary leader got installed, so that we had direct access to the sea.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay! We loved the pool at day and night, we never got tired of the fascinating view out to the sea and the snorkeling and diving directly from Kas Daas down to Bachelor Beach was great! The house is fabulous, the kitchen is well equipped, the beds are very comfortable.

We loved the privacy of the house and it was nice to have so many choices where to enjoy some relaxing moments; under the lanai, next to the sea, on a sunbed or on the lounge on the terrace….

We saw the flamingos, but unfortunately no sight of the dolphins…We got tanks and weights from the dive center “buddy divers” just a few houses away. They were very friendly and helpful.

This was a dream holiday and we would go back any time!

Thanks again, Keesjan for renting your beautiful house to us!

House designed by famous Dutch architect Piet Boon guarantees high quality of living. Spacious rooms, different spots to relax for both adults and kids. A house with a lot of privacy and at the back an astonishing view on the caribbean ocean. Wake-up and jump in the sea instead of taking a shower! Warm welcome by villa manager, clean and well-maintained property. Only 15 min from all restaurants, huge supermarket and beaches (kiting, snorkling, diving). This is HOLIDAY !!!

WoW, WoW, WoW! What a Wonderful stay we had on Bonaire @ Kas Daas. We really love the house, it’s very beautiful. Good beds, fully equiped kitchen, nice pool and a beautiful view on the sea and klein Bonaire. At one morning – we just woke up and stept from the bedroom to the garden – we saw dolphins swimming and flamingo’s flying. Never have seen something beautiful like this. Thank you Kees-Jan! Fantastic property, one of the finest we have rented. Excellent construction, thoughtful amenities, and everything worked well. Pool was a nice alternative to the ocean waters. Air conditioning in bedrooms worked very well, and the design of the home took advantage of the cooling winds coming out of the east. Our family would definitely stay here again, and we highly recommend.

Very much enjoyed staying this property and would definitely come again. The homeowner was wonderful to work with and responded very quickly to my questions by email. The home is immaculate, we were very comfortable there. We enjoyed snorkeling from the private ocean access, and had a wonderful meals on the huge deck with dropdead gorgeous views. The house is only about 10 minutes away from Lac Bay by car. In fact, it’s easy to come home and rest in the afternoon before heading back there for a late afternoon session. This is also quite close to the restaurants and shopping in the city.

We are lucky enough to say this was our third stay at Kas Daas. The house continues to provide everything we need for a wonderful tropical vacation. The location is awesome, literally minutes from all our favorite places – the island’s best dive sites, kite surfing, Kralendijk (ice cream at Gio’s!), windsurfing, and of course the Hang Out beach bar at Lac Bay. Keesjan and his local team are super-attentive. The Belmar dive shop is just down the street for all your air/gear needs. Plus you can dive or snorkel directly in front of the house. And, as I mentioned in a previous review, Kas Daas is the best place to watch for the green flash at sunset. We’ve only been home a few days and are already thinking about our return trip. Thank you Keesjan & Family for opening your beautiful house to us!

We loved this house. Is it exactly as pictured, but pictures can not capture the actual beauty of the setting! Everything was very comfortable and Keesjan and Adriana were both very pleasant to interact with. The location was perfect for us to easily get to town and over to Lac Bay for windsurfing. Also quick and easy to many of the marked dive sites- or just dive right off of the deck! Sitting on the deck truly was our favorite place of the island when we weren’t windsurfing, kiting, or snorkeling. So beautiful to see Klein Bonaire and hills of the National Park in the distance across the water. The lights from town are pretty at night and it was fun to see cruise ships come and go. If Bonaire is your choice of vacation destination, I absolutely recommend Kas Daas!

This home was lovely and really feels larger in person than it appeared to be in pictures. The finishes are all high-end and the house design is fantastic, with views of the ocean from the majority of the rooms and all the major living areas. The outdoor space is beautiful, clean, and provides such a nice environment for relaxing. And unlike so many rentals in Bonaire this home is NOT cluttered! There is really nothing laying about other than gorgeous decor and items that the guests need. Just lovely! We will be back!

If you are looking for your own little piece of paradise, even if for only a short time, this is the place for you. The house is amazing, well equipped and in a perfect location. Just far enough away from downtown and the airport but still easy to get to the local stores and restaurants. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. We felt very fortunate that the owner of this property has opened up this home and allowed us to spend a week relaxing in this fantastic space. The view out onto the ocean was breathtaking. The owner was great to work with and you can see the pride of ownership. There was someone available to answer any questions we had both on the island and from the owner via email. The house had everything we needed. This is a true life experience I will never forget. We will return again and again! Thanks Keesjan for opening your home to us and a fantastic experience.

We just returned home from Kas Daas after a weeks stay. The home’s architecture is very nicely done. Modern, and well equipped. Great views, nice pool and pool deck area. Very relaxing home! No major issues, and the minor ones were more related to life on a small island than the house itself. The homeowner is very helpful and available. Checked on us several times during our stay. The location is very easy to find, and convenient to Belmar Diving for tank rentals/exchanges. We will be back for sure!

A stunning, modern villa in a fantastic location.

Myself, partner and her parents spent an amazing 8 nights at Kas Daas. From the initial enquires with Keesjan through to check out the whole experience was fantastic. The photos really don’t do the property justice, the whole villa has a premium bespoke feel. The location was perfect for our needs, nice and private yet just a short drive away from supermarkets, dive shops and numerous dive sites. One of our diving highlights was running into the famous Bonaire Bait Ball (google it) whilst diving directly off the back of the property. I’d recommend VIP diving for kit hire / air packages however for a dive guide i recomme Chris Verstappen of Technical Diving Services. AB Car rental provided our hire car and offered an honest service, no issues. Every restaurant we visited exceeded our expectations however “At The Sea” deserves special praise, world class food! All in all we couldn’t have asked for a better location or holiday, highly recommended.

The best stay ever at Kas Daas!

5 of 5
We stayed at Kas Daas with a family of four from Amsterdam. The ambiance of Kas Daas made this the perfect stay that we will never forget. It is truly a beautiful place with everything you need to enjoy a perfect Caribbean holiday. The rooms are all spacious with high ceilings and by opening the big front window to the terrace and all the window shutters you can create an even more spacious and open house. Here on the first floor you can find the terrace/balcony with a big comfy couch (perfect for evening drinks) and kitchen table, as well as a fully stocked kitchen. The terrace downstairs is oceanfront and this is where we spent most of our time, relaxing by the pool, sunbathing and swimming and snorkeling in the Caribbean sea. And every night you can enjoy the breathtaking sunset from your own terrace! Kralendijk is a 10 minute car ride away, as well as the beaches where you can windsurf and kitesurf. On top of this special experience, both Keesjan and Adriana were a great help during and before our stay. They were always available to assist which gave us an even more relaxed feeling. We would love to return one day and for sure there is no better place to stay on Bonaire than Kas Daas!

Oceanfront Luxury

4 of 5
Kas Daas is just as pictured on the web site – a very modern villa with upscale materials and finishes. It is beautifully situated right on the water with a wonderful pool and a covered gazebo that is perfect for reading or napping in the afternoon. The villa is in a quiet and convenient location on the southern side of Bonaire – very easy access to restaurants, the airport, dive sites, everything. Keesjan does an outstanding job making it easy to rent the villa, answering questions and ensuring that his villa manager takes care of all of your needs while you are there, including meeting you at the airport. The fridge was well stocked when we arrived with juice, water, milk, cheese, fruit – a very welcoming touch! Air conditioning in the bedrooms keeps those rooms very cool at night, but you should know that the villa, like others in Bonaire, is not fully air conditioned. The beautiful glass doors on the upper level open up completely to provide a spectacular view and nice breezes when the wind is cooperating, but it can be very warm when there are no breezes.

Owner’s Response: thanks, and yes because the house is equipped with the ‘air breeze shutter system’ AC in the living room is just not possible. It has been a choice that we have never regretted. And there are so few days the wind is not active at Bonaire – Hope to welcome yo again!

“Movie Star House is Perfection!”     5***** of 5
We met family from near and far to share Thanksgiving week at this spectacular, modern, ocean-front home and could not have picked a better place! From the moment we saw the house online and contacted Keesjan, we knew we were in for a treat as he was extremely responsive and professional and his attention to detail is beautifully reflected throughout Kas Daas.

The house is truly sensational and unique – seems like is should be in the Hollywood Hills somewhere – but fortunately, it is on the edge of the clear blue sea on Bonaire! The bedrooms and beds are large and very comfortable – nice and dark with the blinds drawn and the air con makes it quite cozy. The huge kitchen has top-of-the-line appliances and is open and fully stocked (with kitchen equipment), and features a large bar area where everyone can congregate while cooking. The open, spacious family room and deck are great for playing games, sharing family time or just relaxing with plenty of personal space. We loved the pool and being able to jump right into the sea from the dock! There is a full size washer and dryer, wi-fi, a speaker system for an i-pod, and a computer (handy for checking email or researching restaurants or other island activities).

A stay in this one-of-a-kind house – with its modern design and decor, close proximity to Bonaire’s excellent restaurants, interesting local culture and unsurpassed snorkeling and SCUBA diving sites – will assure a vacation you will never, ever forget. We loved Kas Daas!

What a great time we had at Kas Daas! The house is exactly as pictured. This a great place to hang out and relax for a week (or two). The AC in the rooms does a great job cooling during the night. During the day, the breezes of Bonaire was our AC! We were comfortable the entire time and I just can’t say enough about the house. For those from the US, make sure and bring a 220v converter or adapter. Bonaire seems to have buildings with 110v and 220v. If you read online, it can be confusing. To clease that up, this house is on the European 220v.

We enjoyed the location. It’s south of town and everything is within a 10–15 minute drive. The southern dive sites are very close and easy to get to. The reef off the front of Kas Daas is good as well. Many days we would go dive a northern or southern reef, come back and have lunch at the house and then do our second dive right off our “front porch”. Our neighbors did a couple of night dives so I know that’s a good option as well.

Keesjan does a good job of making you feel welcome the moment you reserve the house. He is also easy to text if something comes up while you are there. Of course there is also a host that lives in Bonaire that will take care of any immediate needs you might want. We are looking forward to staying there again in the future.
Owner’s Response: Thanks for this Texas review! Hope to welcome you again next year as well.

Sensationell!

We have fallen in love with the island of Bonaire and Kas Daas. This was our second time staying at Kas Daas and this time we extended our trip to two weeks. The house continues to be maintained beautifully, with an attentive owner and great local support.

We had two couples and one teenager along this time and there was plenty of space for everybody, indoors and out. Diving is just minutes away so you can enjoy your “up time” on the deck at Kas Daas in between dives.

The outdoor spaces are really well designed. If you want shade you can hang out in the giant living room on the deck listening to the rustle of the palms, or take a nap under the cabana’s thatched roof. For sun, chill out in the pool or lounge on the lower deck oceanside. If you get too hot or just have to get into the ocean, just climb down the ladder and get in!

We spent sunsets making people in passing boats jealous. Dangling our feet over the water’s edge enjoying cocktails waiting for the green flash, it was pretty darn fantastic.

Needless to say, we’ve already booked our trip for next year. Thank you Keesjan for making this incredible place available to us!

Owner’s Response: Starting with HomeAway a few years ago at first we felt not comfortable with renting our home towards ‘strangers’ …but this kind of reviews do realize us that we made the right decision. Thanks and see you next year , dates are blocked!

We enjoyed an absolutely amazing week at Kas Daas. This was our first time doing a rental home and we were a little nervous that the house was too good to be true. Luckily, it was even more beautiful in person than in the photos. The space is truly amazing.

My only complaint about the house was that it was pretty poorly stocked as far as cooking utensils go. With how beautiful the kitchen was, we expected it to actually be stocked with the utensils necessary to cook. There wasn’t a single spatula or spoon for stirring things while cooking. We also had to buy a chef’s knife from the grocery store because the only knife they had was a single paring knife. Had I known, I would have packed my own stuff. While it was a bit of an inconvenience, it wasn’t a big deal.

Keesjan was incredibly responsive and helpful through the entire process from booking to checking in during and after our stay. I’m not sure if maybe the house manager Adrianna was having an off week while we were there but she wasn’t very responsive.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would be lucky to stay there again. Thanks Keesjan!
Owner’s Response: Thanks for your 4 star review. Consider the cooking utensils I think and hope that you actually have not been able to find the elusive silverware drawer hhich is almost hidden immediately below the sink .. if nobody has pointed it out there then you just do not see it … I hope this is the case because as far as I know there are a lot of spoons, knives , forks, etc. OfcourseI will inform the villa manager that this should be better explained. We apologize for this complaint , it will not happen again. Indeed hope to welcome you again! Keesjan

Your property is in a great location with a dive shop 100 yards away and diving right outside your door. The home is well maintained and customer service was perfect. The only disappoint I had was the seating arrangement of the furniture in the home. Bench seating throughout the house made it difficult to sit comfortably. I will be coming back to the Island.
Owner’s Response: Thanks for your almost perfect review. With respect to the seating in the house. On the porch is a large sofa and a dining table with loose chairs. In the living room I chose barstools at the kitchen table and in the TV corner there’s also a corner sofa where you – I thought – it is comfortable to sit / relax. But of course I take this complaint seriously and will ask other tenants in the future to share their experiences on this. Hop you will choose my house again when returning to Bonaire! Keesjan

In spite of the fact we arrived on Friday 13th! we had a stay in Kasdaas we cannot compare to anything yet! This house in combination with all Bonaire has to offer, all was wonderful. The space, views, direct acces to the ocean, the way it is furnished, all things of interest nearby, in combination with the wonderful weather we loved it all!

The island is adorable, including its people, as well as the lady who offered her assistance when she gave us our keys. We enjoyed very much the exquisite taste of the owners in this design house of famous Piet Boon!

When learning diving there is nothing compared to the institute at walking distance, though on a relatively small island like Bonaire in fact everything is nearby. Kralendijk is small but with lots of restaurants in all categories

We enjoyed staying in Kasdaas a fortnight with all its generosity in all aspects and loved to just take a few steps to enjoy the soft water of the ocean, just beautiful and we will be back some day, that’s for sure.
Owner’s Response: thanks for this amazing review, heard you swam each morning from the house to the end of Punt Vierkant, respect!

AMAZING! 5***** of 5

The house was exactly as pictured and more. The only dilemma was that it was so beautiful we never wanted to leave the house! Nonstop views of the ocean and the perfect temperature for outside living. The house is decorated beautifully, there is a great sound system and the day bed on the water is my favorite spot. The house reef out front is great for scuba and my kids love jumping of the deck into the ocean. Nicest home I have ever stayed in. Keesjan was great to communicate with and Adriana made sure everything went smoothly.

It was convenient to the airport and town and also seemed very private. Rather than going out to eat, some nights we would get take out from restaurants in town- Cappriccio or just pizza and eat out on the porch (which was really an enormous outdoor room). We did go out to At Sea with Keesjan’s recommendation and it was one of the best meals I have ever had. We will definitely be back. Thanks so much for sharing your home!

The home was perfect. Big, comfortable, well cared for, and architecturally inspiring. Truly dreamy inside and out.
It was our first visit to Bonaire. First time renting a villa from an owner. Keesjan was very patient and helpful in planning our vacation. His recommendations were perfect from the scuba company to learn from (VIP was great),to restaurant recommendations (not one disappointment), to having has greeted at the airport.
Two considerations: We were there during the rainy season. The bug nets on the beds are not only lovely and romantic but essential. Second; access to the water is right off the deck via a ladder. Perfect for snorkeling. Not sure I could have done it with heavy scuba gear.
Bonus- the fireworks New Years Eve that we experienced from the deck were the most awesome of my life! Bonaire loves their fireworks!
All in all a great vacation.

The house is stunning and the design is exceptional. As avid divers, we had our own private entry to the reef and very near Belmar diving centre for tanks etc. We found a Seahorse ourselves on the house reef and used all of the facilities in the house, i.e. pool etc. We thought we would not get used to the living areas not having air-con but after a couple of days we adapted to the weather and enjoyed the nice temperature. Bedrooms are very comfortable and have air-con.

We arrived to a gorgeous ocean view and did not take it for granted a single day we were there! The house is fully equipped and very beautiful. It was a great place to chill, swim and clean off our dive equipment during the day and the ambiance with the candles, dimmers and surround sound music at night was perfection! The grocery store, airport, dive shop and gas stations are all close and convenient. The islanders are very friendly and helpful…they love to brag on their beautiful piece of paradise and help with directions or any such thing. The diving was the best we have seen in our diving days as of yet, absolutely incredible! The reef right off Kaas Daan was gorgeous! Easy and a fantastic vacation. The owner and staff were friendly and very accommodating…Thank you for these incredible memories!!

My wife and I just returned from Bonaire 6/27 – 7/6 and rented the Kas Daas house which is three homes south of the Belmar Apartments in Belnem. I can’t tell you how happy we were with the home, dealing with Keesjan the owner, Adriana the house manager, and the location! It was perfect and the house is BEAUTIFUL!

The home has security and we never had an issue other than the sun going down at night and running low on Scotch. The diving right off the deck was great and location to Buddy Dive at the Belmar Apartments three doors down worked out perfect for getting and swapping out tanks.

There are three bedrooms with plenty of room and mosquito netting surrounding the beds. All appliances are Viking and high end. There is a private pool, cabana and plenty of seating on the deck and upstairs veranda. The reef in front of the house has great diving! Getting in and out was easy and the ladder is in great shape. To give you an idea of the reef you can take a look at the video I shot on my last dive….

Unedited green moray dive on the reef in front of Kas Daas house in Bonaire – YouTube

I can’t thank Adriana the house manager and Keesjan the owner enough… We showed up with food and cocktails in the fridge, a full overview of the home and services that could be set up, and personal greeting when we arrived… Truly a great place and experience!

Thanks Keesjan! You helped make a 20th anniversary a special moment in our lives….

We had a wonderful stay in Kas Daas! The house is very luxurious and lovely decorated, with still the Caribean look & feel! With the gorgeous sea literally in front of the house, you can snorkel or dive right of your own porch. We were even so lucky to see a troop of Dolphins cruising by. It is defenitely a dreamspot on a very relaxed and laid-back island.

We just returned from a wonderful week at Kas Daas. Wow everything was so beautiful. The villa was very spacious, modern, we kept the doors and windows open all week for a great breeze blowing through at all times. One of the prettiest dive sites straight out in front of the villa. Just so beautiful and relaxing. We had dinner at Wil’s grill, Fantastic, It Rains fishes, Delicious, Pasa Bon pizza Delicious Pizza we tried the lion fish pizza it was very good as was the pepperoni, sausage, and you cannot miss a day at Jibe City to relax and enjoy lunch..
We love the Island, it was our 5th time there and this villa was so far our favorite. We highly recommend Kas Daas.

Whether you’re seeking adventure, relaxation, or some of both, Kas Daas is an amazing place to be. The location is incredible – you are literally steps away from the best diving and snorkeling in the world. Within ten minutes’ drive are wild flamingos, the town of Kralendijk, dozens of fantastic dive/snorkel sites, and what must be one of the best windsurf bays in the world. The house is fantastic. With tons of comfortable outdoor space, you can relax & kick back in the sun, the shade, or in the pool. The upstairs deck feels like your own luxury treehouse. Birds flit in & out of the surrounding trees and if you look carefully you might spot an iguana lounging in a nearby palm. The bedrooms are comfortable, with air conditioning. You’ll notice the mosquito nets in the photos – we didn’t have much trouble with mosquitos in the house, but if you’re sensitive to bites we recommend bringing repellant for evenings outdoors. Hard surfaces, steep stairs, and no railing next to the ocean edge means this house isn’t well suited for little ones, but older kids will absolutely love it.If you dive, there is a Buddy Dive shop just two doors down at the Belmar apartments. You can rent equipment there, get tanks, and even rent a truck from them. In town we had a fabulous meal at Capriccio – especially recommended if you’re wine fans like us.We had a fabulous vacation at Kas Daas. Even witnessed the green flash at sunset! No question, we will be back.

I could not express enough how beautiful and excellent this place is. If you’re thinking about using Kas Daas as your next vacation base – go for it. You will NOT be disappointed. Our stay could not have been better and we have already told several friends about this thoughtfully planned and well built home. We are a family of four and we spent our days reading by the pool and ocean, snorkeling and diving at the many incredible sites near the house and windsurfing. We took a swim in the ocean every day just off the deck of the home. We hope to go back someday!!! Five stars!

We’ve had the pleasure of renting numerous properties through HomeAway/VRBO and Kas Daas comes in at the top. The house has an excellent modern design, which seamlessly blends indoor spaces (kitchen, living area, bedrooms) with the outdoors (lounge/dining area, pool deck). You will find that even the smallest details have been though of – the house features high-end appliances, an excellent sound system (which you can enjoy while dining all fresco), and very comfortable and spacious bedrooms (the house can easily accommodate three couples). The pictures can’t do it justice! If you tire of the indoors, you will find a plunge pool on the outside deck, along with a cabana from which you can enjoy sunsets or views of the Washington-Slagbaai hills in the north. The private water entry also affords the opportunity for snorkeling, through less confident swimmers may occasionally find the waves a bit overwhelming. If that is the case, there are excellent snorkeling options at Windsock (north end of the beach; ~5 minutes) or on the barrier reef at Lac Cai (~10 minutes). Regarding other activities — we were very satisfied with the service of Belmar Diving (practically next door), and the kiteboarding lessons offered by Kiteboarding Bonaire (ask for Roan).Last but not least, you will find that the owner (Keesjan) and house manager (Adriana) are very responsive, and a pleasure to deal with starting with the prompt exchange of the rental agreements, airport pickup, all the way through answering any questions that may come up while on site. Two thumbs up.Kas Daas is an excellent place to stay on Bonaire and we recommend it without any hesitation!
Owner’s Response: Thanks, at least this review soothes the pain that we were not there ourselves during Christmas 🙂

Great location, gorgous views! Perfect condition! The owner was extremely accomodating and friendly. We were 3, 2 scuba divers, and one who wanted to just lounge by the pool, and it was perfect to scuba right off the back, while others enjoyed the ocean! The pool was perfect. The sunsets incredible. Great to have a shower outside and a place to clean scuba gear. The kitchen and living area/outdoor living area was perfect for opening everything up and having friends over for dinner. There is even outdoor speakers that go to the Bose soundsystem indoor/outdoor. Awesome! Very close to dive sites, and all the amenities you might need. We went out with VIP Diving and Bas’ team is the best! I’d return in a heartbeat!                                                                                         response: thanks see you next year !

We really spend a great time in the Oceanfront Luxury Villa Beach House in Bonaire. All was perfectly managed by the owner. He was quite friendly, open-minded and helped us with every problem we had. The location was quite wonderful and in a very good and clean condition. We also enjoyed the different offered activities like snorkeling, diving or driving through the donkey sanctuary. Thank you very much for making our stay in Bonaire so awesome and enjoyable. We would recommend the property, of course, to a friend. Family Egelhofer

Somewhere during a very special vacation – for me there is that moment when you exhale and all the stress and tension just disappears with that breath. That happened on this vacation. This place is simply perfect. The layout of the villa and the way it is furnished and decorated makes you want to run back and re-do your own house. In this case it’s better than the pictures. Uber cool – together with the view and the private space – it is very cool chill.
We woke up early each morning and had coffee while sitting on the dock to watch the sea “wake up”. Normally “Walter” the local Iguana dropped by to check in. As did about 8 small colourful birds that were looking for help with their breakfast.
The birds on the island are spectacular. Green, red, yellow, blue – new colours just kept flying by all the time.
Afterwards we went for a run along the sea on a pretty quiet road – out past the salt pier to the white slave huts (about 14k). At the salt pier a few Pelicans seemed to be constantly fishing (and catching) small bait fish. Watching them fly in formation about 20cm off the water was really cool.
The swim after running was spectacular – right off the dock. Water was clear and slightly refreshing. I used my GPS to mark out a route of about 300m out and back which was just perfect. Safely out of reach of any boats and with a great view of all of the villas on the way back. There is a 8 meter deep cave under the house – which with the right wave set – create a splash back out to the sea which is cool to watch.
The diving was fantastic and all within a short drive. If you are divers already I would recommend a few trips with VIP Divers (Frank or Bob) to orient you to the island and the best spots – depending upon the weather. For sure you should take a VIP guide to La Dania’s Leap – a drift dive that starts with a 1m leap into the sea – its a must do. So is the salt pier dive – that I recommend doing in the morning or later afternoon when the angle of the sun makes the pier pillars feel like mysterious legs reaching down into the sea.
Head out to Jibe City – a windsurfing hangout and bar not to be missed.
Except for 1 nite we ate entirely at the villa. Why? The kitchen and outdoor eating area and sunset view make you want to stay there and enjoy it – the place is simply that good. The owner is really interested that you have a good time and enjoy your time – and that says a lot.Enjoy your time there. Fred

We stayed for a week with a family of 4 , 2 kids 6 and 8 ( both good swimmers )
Upon arrival we where met by the owners representative who gave a good explanation of the house , the fridge was already stocked with the first necessities for a nice breakfast the first morning
We had an excellent stay in this beautiful villa . snorkeling in front of the house , relaxing in the pool , the villa leaves nothing to be desired off ..
due to the design with the open shutters the villa remains cool at all times , all bedrooms have ac and the beds are very good . the attention to detail in the whole house is perfect !
Bonaire is a very relaxed island , everything reachable within a short drive , no traffic lights on the whole island .
we had a very nice vacation and would definitely recommend this villa .

Spent a week over 4th of July in Bonaire. The diving was incredible and this house was amazing. The owner was great with communication and answered all my questions promptly. The manager met us at the airport and let us into the house and showed us around. The house is incredibly modern and full of light and air. The description is very accurate and the house looks even better in person. The best feature is the private outdoor pool and ocean front location. We snorkeled and went diving right in front of the house. The sunsets were incredible every night. The location was perfect for diving, with many of the best dive sites within a 10 minute drive. A 5 min drive south from the house takes you to Angel City, Hilma Hooker, The Lake, Salt Pier, Tori’s Reef and many others. We went diving at some of these sites and then came back to the house for our service interval and for a dip in the pool. A 5 min drive north and you can dive many of the great sites right near the airport and a huge gourmet market is close. Town and some great restaurants are only a 10 min drive away. You do not need to stay at a full service dive resort. We used Dive Friends for our air but there is a Buddy dive location about 100 meters from the house. The house only has AC in the bedrooms which was just fine because the house has a great constant breeze flowing thru it and was built to take advantage of the wind. Mosquitos were not an issue at all. The location was quiet and private and there are safes in each bedroom. The beds and sofas were very comfortable and there is a great palapa by the pool to relax in the shade. There is a fully stocked gourmet kitchen and nice sound system. This house exceeded all of our expectations and I hope to be back soon.

Owner response: thanks hope to welcome you again!

Our stay at Kas Daas was nothing short of magical. First, the home is beautiful. It was designed and decorated by a famous Dutch architect and it just exudes luxury in a clean, minimalist way. The home is so spacious and comfortable with a huge open air livingroom and kitchen. Note that there is only air conditioning in the bedrooms. i typically love the air conditioning but I found the breezes that came through the house to be very pleasant and inmost days provided adequate cooling and was really lovely. When it got too hot we simply took a dip in the pool or the sea. The owner has provided practically every amenity you could possibly want in a vacation home. The kitchen has top of the line appliances, Nespresso machine, fully stocked utensils, pots and pans, carving blocks, etc. When we were warm, there was an extra fan, when we needed an extra pillow, it was there. There were washer dryers, mosquito nets in the bedrooms, drying racks for our scuba gear and a beautiful gazebo to lay under and watch the amazing sunsets. He has also provided a great deal of information about Bonaire in the house, which was very useful. It was clear that the owner was very thoughtful in looking out for the needs of his guests. The location couldn’t be more perfect. There is a dive shop less than 100 yards away at the Belmar apartments. We dove with them all week long and got amazing service. The convenience of being able to walk to the dive shop was excellent – we could just run home in the event we forgot something and we didnt waste anytime travelling back and forth each day. Although, I do recommend you rent a car. While BonAire is small, there are so many great areas to explore that require a car, you would miss out on the islands natural beauty if you don’t have one. One of the sweetest things was being able to snorkel or dive right out of the back of the villa. Even after a long day of diving or adventuring, it was so convenient to do a sunset snorkel right from the house. The owner of the villa was really kind and hospitable and emailed me several times during our stay to make sure everything was well. He even emailed me instructions on how to change the language on his Mac from Dutch to English. My husband and I would not hesitate to return along with some friends. It was a magical week.

Owner response: Thanks for this amazing review, finally a real ‘divers review ‘ , hope it will help other divers stop hesitating of renting kasdaas.

Very comfortable, well designed house with a nice pool and direct access to the Caribbean Sea, which allowed us to enjoy the underwater life on its doorstep several times a day. We have been to Bonaire several times, renting a different house each time; however this is a place you really want to return to. The unobstructed Caribbean sunset views and endless horizon from your own private porch are just terrific. Upon request the housekeeper had arranged for food for the first couple of days, she welcomed us at the airport and everything was well prepared and organized. This felt like a sincere welcome and made us start relaxing instantly. The constant fresh sea breeze in the living areas of the well constructed house, great bedrooms and professional kitchen equipment, are very pleasant and practical. There are also many places to sit in the sun, in the shade under the gazebo roof, at the bar or dining table on the top floor with a glass of wine overlooking the ocean … really great. To keep it simple, we ordered food from the restaurant across the street a couple of times. Although the house is located in a nice, quiet area most places to visit are very close and only take minutes by car – like Sorobon wind surfing, village of Kralendijk, several diving sites easily accessible along the coast with yellow stone markers, diving school 50 meters from the house, renting a boat to go/see Klein Bonaire, etc. Having been regularly to Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao and St Maarten for almost 40 years now, I have started to appreciate the quality time and really friendly local people on Bonaire more and more … no “high rise” hotels for us, just relax and totally enjoy the natural and underwater life. If this is what you are looking for, then I certainly recommend this location and house…

Owner response: already the first email conversations had been very easy and understanding, during the stay as well so it does not surprise me you both have had a very pleasant holiday. Really hope to welcome you again and thanks for this review.

You can spend a lot more, or a lot less, but this property delivers value beyond expectation! After visiting Bonaire for more than 18 years and having stayed in all types of properties and locations, this one beats                                                                      the rest by a long shot! First, the owner is incredibly gracious, caring and accommodating! The Villa Manager meets you at the airport, guides you to and through the house, provides some groceries on arrival and is very responsive if needed. The location is perfect…close to town, restaurants and supermarket, yet off the beaten path, private and quiet. The Villa…extraordinary! Views of Klein Bonaire with the mountains in the background! Large, open, airy, comfortable, functionally sophisticated, extremely well equipped it’s design brings the outside in and the inside out in a luxurious style that exudes tropical relaxation and artistic simplicity! A divers paradise within The Divers Paradise, the reef directly off the deck is pristine and offers a new discovery on every dive. The outside shower, hose, wash tank, drying racks and gated access to the pool area make 24/7 diving from here a luxury that is difficult to leave to explore other dive sites, of which some of the best on the island are just down the street.Sound too good to be true? Well, this time it’s not, but as the owner accurately portrays, this property is not for everyone. It is not a property for small children. Nor is it a property for those that prefer a hermetically sealed, air conditioned capsule. It is also not suitable for the  handicapped. But for those looking for direct reef access, luxurious privacy, easy beautiful diving off your dock and comfort inside and out Kas Dass delivers an amazing experience for a reasonable price!
Owners response : Thanks for this amazing review with divers information in it as well. I’m not really diving myself but I tried to make Kas Daas comfortable as possible for all the visiting divers so glad to hear from a professional the outside shower / wash tank / drying racks are appreciated. Hope to welcome you again – was a pleasure to serve you.

The garden is situated at sea side and has a lovely pool and a great Cabana to see the sunset. This house has made our family holiday a dream! I’ll recommend this place to everyone!!

Large house (3 full size double bedrooms) with big living area (inside & outside). Nice furniture and good equipment: washing machine, dryer, dish washer, oven, microwave etc.etc. Aircos in all bedrooms, not in living area. In the sea in front of the house I saw a lot of interesting fish: parrot fish, manta ray, scorpion fish, octopussy, sea eel etc.etc. Within 250 meters you will find a great diveshop & school. Nice location with a lot of privacy. We were extra lucky because both of the neighbours were not at home. Friendly and very helpful owner.

Owner response:Thanks for this review – it was an honor to help you with your stay on Bonaire, good to hear that you have had a good time.

N1Fantastic Stay – Incredible Modern Home  5*****/5

Guest: Dave (Atlanta, Georgia, USA)
Date of Stay: 06/30/12 Review Submitted: 07/25/12We just returned from a week at Kas Daas. This was our 4th or 5th time in Bonaire and the first time we stayed here. We couldn’t have been more pleased. From our first contact, Keesjan was quick to respond and I had no hesitation reserving the house. The house and location were beyond our expectations! It is superbly designed for Bonaire living – no surprise given the Piet Boon pedigree. The public spaces are open and airy with great seating areas. Perfect ocean views but with trees keeping it private. Bedrooms are air conditioned and beds/linens extremely comfortable. Everything was spotless and very clean. Pool area and ocean front are awesome. Fun night snorkeling off the dock- tarpon, lobsters and spotted eagle rays. Highly recommend a stay here. Super close to everything – we had windsurfers and divers/snorkelers and everyone loved it. All in all, can’t wait to stay again.
Owner response:Thanks David , it is a pleasure to hear that you and your guests have had a perfect stay. Yes hope to welcome yo again.
greetings Keesjan

N37Beautiful home but needs window screens

Guest: Mike (Grand Rapids, Michigan, US)
Date of Stay: 01/14/12 Review Submitted: 01/30/12Beautiful home and we enjoyed our stay for the most part but keeping mosquitoes out of the house was a big problem. The house has a combination of windows and wood shutters but no screens on any of them. During the day it was wonderful to open all the windows and shutters and enjoy constant breeze and AC was not needed. In the evening when the mosquitoes came out because there were no screens we had to close all the windows and shutters and with no central air conditioning (individual AC units in the bedrooms only) the house got very uncomfortable. A few of the shutters when closed had large gaps in them so keeping mosquitoes out was difficult. Having to apply mosquito repellent every evening is not something we enjoyed doing. Great house but the lack of screens and no central air conditioning would keep us from returning.
Owner response:Unfortunately I received the litte dissapointing and not aspected review. Yes it is true that there are some weeks mosquitos are worse as other weeks and yes ofcourse some people are more atracted to mosquitos as others. In Raining season ofcourse there are more mosquitos as in other dryer seasons. But I will take this review serious as well and maybe there’s a possibility to make some screens so people can use these in time of more mosquitos. I will sort that out this coming months. Because the thought and architecture of the house is ‘living oceanfront outside’ I would never place an AC in the living room , simply because it would feel strange to lock everything up and destroy the ‘atmospere’ of the house completely. The Carabic wind blowing throught the house I think is the best AC you can get, by shutting / closing everything ( and therefore there’s no wind blowing throuhg the house ) I can imagine this family could not enjoy the evenings. But ofcourse in all sleeping rooms there are AC’s installed.    2**/5
update = musquito screens installed 2013!

Date of Stay: 12/16/11 Review Submitted: 01/23/12Very nice place , Great sunsets, well design and very comfortable. Maybe you should try lock out renting system as the place has 3 bed rooms ( and one master suite unfortunately not for rent ) and we use only 2 We had a great time during our stay in Bonaire. Thanks Keesjan.
Owner response:thanx David for your review. Yes the masterbedroom is locked so we can leave our private clothes in there and there’s no need to re-arrange each time we visit the house ourselves. And for future renters , masterbedroom is not bigger or luxer so there’s no difference with the other bedrooms. Hope David we will see you again in Kas Daas !

Date of Stay: 05/01/11 Review Submitted: 05/29/11Our experience with this property has been very positive from the very start. Once we showed interest in it, the owner immediately got in touch with me and provided me with all the details. We were greeted by the agent of the property at the airport. She took us straight to the property (5 min from the airport) and helped us settle in. This place is very relaxing and quiet. The villa was clean and of high quality. It has a lot of space and a great kitchen with everything you might need. The surroundings are great and we saw beautiful sunsets. The property has a small, nice swimming pool and we snorkeled in front of the villa in the ocean! I highly recommend this villa and will definitely go back.
Owner response:Thanks fam. Juul from Amsterdam, it’s a pleasure to know your family had a great time at Bonaire. Hope to see you again.

Exceeded Expectations!

Guest: Skip (Bremerton, Washington USA)
Date of Stay: 01/08/11 Review Submitted: 02/01/11Our family spent a week in January enjoying all of the amenities that this house had to offer. We found the location to be fantastic, the view spectacular, and the roominess wonderful. Since the house is located very close to the airport, our arrival and departure was a breeze. On our arrival we were met by a Bonaire contact person who helped us get to the house and gave us an orientation, which we found to be very helpful. She was also available for any questions or concerns during our stay. The house is located less than ten minutes from the kite-boarding beach, and fifteen minutes from Lac Bay, the windsurfing area, which were two of the activities we enjoyed during our visit. The purpose of our trip was a family reunion, to celebrate our son and daughter-in-law’s sailing across the Atlantic Ocean, nearing the end to their around-the-world voyage. The house is very open and roomy, and begs for people to kick back and relax, which is just what we wanted to do. The air conditioning in the bedrooms made sleeping very comfortable, and the bug nets provided peace of mind. The snorkeling right off of the deck was very good, and the private pool added additional outdoor fun. Even though the kitchen was more than adequately equipped, we choose to go out to dinner most nights and went to the restaurants suggested by the owner. His suggestions were excellent and all restaurants were less than fifteen minutes from the house. We had six adults and an eight year old in our party, and were often joined by two other adults, during the day and early evening. We never felt crowded, wherever we chose to hang out, and found the house to be very user friendly. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly and the whole house was very well appointed. We very much enjoyed the use of driftwood throughout the house. We had a couple of concerns in the beginning, but the owner answered all of our questions, and was very helpful throughout the total experience. In the end, the house, and its location, truly exceeded all of our expectations, and we were very happy with everything about our Bonaire vacation.
